Hello, friends!
Back in January, I thought this time might never come. But thankfully, our mornings are increasingly filled with birdsong, and especially with today's "spring forward" (at least here in my home state of Ohio), we will be able to enjoy a bit more of the sun's warmth each day.
This time of year, I start to feel better after the low energy of winter, when I struggle with so little sunlight and too much time indoors. In the past few years, I have found that outside of family, two main things are truly essential in my life: nature and creativity!
Ideally, I seek out both each day whenever I possibly can, but during one of the more extreme winters I can remember, I really leaned into that creative spirit.
And I'm so glad to share the results of that time with you in this email. : )
A RETURN TO CREATIVITY AND PLAY
- The Gray Day Creative Retreat: A deeply personal creation I lovingly prepared this winter. Filled with gentle prompts organized by levels of energy, it invites you to embrace your creative side while honoring your personal energy. I have written about "gray" days before both here and in my blog, and these pages provide an opportunity for light creative play, whether it is rainy days or low energy that encourage us to enjoy a light respite. If you'd like to check it out, I invite you to learn more here.
2. Rainy Day Fun: An Activity Book for Ages 7-10
If you are looking for something for your children or grandchildren to do while you enjoy your own creative retreat, this activity book with coloring pages, puzzles, and a special section of paper dolls may be the perfect answer. Minimal supplies, easy to use, and hours of screen-free fun lie ahead. Learn more here if you would like.
3. Paper Doll Palooza!
As I was creating the Rainy Day activity book listed above, I was hit with a massive wave of nostalgia and spent an incredible number of hours "playing" with paper dolls (or at least playing with them on the screen as I planned the outfits they would need, the places they would go, and the adventures they might have this spring and summer!)
You can check them out in three different listings.
The Spring Paper Dolls Kit: This kit is a copy of the dolls, scenes, and accessories in the Rainy Day activity book, but it includes just the paper doll section itself. It comes with 4 dolls, a wardrobe for each, four background scenes, pet/animal friends, and a few fun springtime accessories.
The Summer Paper Dolls Kit: A complement to the spring kit, the Summer Paper Dolls Kit includes two new dolls, each of which comes in three variations so they are ready for outdoor adventures, a beach vacation, and -- probably after a long day of play -- bedtime! This kit includes quite a few wardrobe options for a variety of summer fun activities, four backgrounds, and accessories to round out the stories your children will create.
The Paper Doll Bundle: If you know intrinsically that your daughter, son, grandchild, or students will just love paper doll play, you can buy them both in this bundle for 25% off. And who knows? Maybe you'll even enjoy a little fashion designing of your own. :)
YOU MADE IT TO THE BOTTOM!
If you made it all the way down here and are still reading, you are my hero! I had so much fun preparing each of these items and have been so excited to share them with you. I would love it if you would reply just to let me know you read this! You can ask a question, request a future product, or just say "hello"! And as a thank you, if you haven't already grabbed my "Taste of Spring" freebie, you can find it here. I'm leaving it unbolded and without color to truly thank my most dedicated readers and supporters. You are appreciated!
Take care,
Amanda
