Hello, friends!

Back in January, I thought this time might never come. But thankfully, our mornings are increasingly filled with birdsong, and especially with today's "spring forward" (at least here in my home state of Ohio), we will be able to enjoy a bit more of the sun's warmth each day.

This time of year, I start to feel better after the low energy of winter, when I struggle with so little sunlight and too much time indoors. In the past few years, I have found that outside of family, two main things are truly essential in my life: nature and creativity!

Ideally, I seek out both each day whenever I possibly can, but during one of the more extreme winters I can remember, I really leaned into that creative spirit.

​A RETURN TO CREATIVITY AND PLAY

  1. ​The Gray Day Creative Retreat: A deeply personal creation I lovingly prepared this winter. Filled with gentle prompts organized by levels of energy, it invites you to embrace your creative side while honoring your personal energy. I have written about "gray" days before both here and in my blog, and these pages provide an opportunity for light creative play, whether it is rainy days or low energy that encourage us to enjoy a light respite. As I was creating the Rainy Day activity book listed above, I was hit with a massive wave of nostalgia and spent an incredible number of hours "playing" with paper dolls (or at least playing with them on the screen as I planned the outfits they would need, the places they would go, and the adventures they might have this spring and summer!)
