Hello again! I'm not sure when it happened, but I realized this week that we are nearly to the end of May! It's definitely a reminder of how a summer that sounds endless in June, seems like it was barely the length of a long exhale come August. Every year, we enter the season with a long list of hopes for the months ahead. And then somehow, the days blur together. The weather gets overwhelming. Schedules pile up. Energy runs low. That experience -- one I've faced more than once -- is really the heart behind the Summer of Joy project. I don't want a “perfect” summer filled with a bunch of "must-do" items. I want presence and connection. And I'm pretty sure you feel the same. The responses from the Summer of Joy survey confirmed that this year, we want a slower, more intentional summer filled with everyday connection and meaningful moments with the people we love. Throughout the season, your free Summer of Joy emails will share encouragement, ideas, and occasional printable resources with precisely these ideas in mind. And soon, the Experience Pass will add even more. Inside the pass, you’ll find things like: And instead of receiving everything at once, new pieces arrive throughout the summer. The Experience Pass is, in fact, an experience! 😊 The goal isn’t a filled calendar. It is helping you create a summer that feels like the right balance of play and rest. Let's create a summer you can look back on and remember for the memories, and for the feeling it gave you while you truly lived it. I’ll be sharing more with you soon, Amanda |

It is the perfect summer day, and the sun is shining. It's warm enough that the soft breeze is refreshing, not cold. You feel well enough to get outside for a bit and enjoy the gift. Where are you? What are you drinking? (Calories don't count on this day, and no one's judging if it's a little too early in the day -- or in the case of coffee, a little too late -- to enjoy your favorite summer drink.) Who are you with? This summer, I want more of this. And I want you to enjoy more of this, too....
Read My Substack Blog Visit My Fourthwall Shop Are you awake early today? Me too. It's Sunday, but my dog doesn't know about days of the week. Fortunately, neither do the birds. So at least when I let him out this spring morning just before 7 a.m., I was treated to the dawn chorus. The robins start singing first, but by this time, the cardinals, white-throated sparrows and chickadees had joined in too. If you'd like to learn more about the chorus and to wake gently today, I hope you'll take...
Read My Substack Blog Visit My Fourthwall Shop Hello, I am writing a little earlier this week because I just can't wait: Welcome, Spring! To all who live in the Northern Hemisphere, we made it! This issue is about tending to what matters and includes a few ideas for reflecting at the start of a new season, enjoying a...
